in partnership with HealthPartners Institute’s Center for Evaluation and Survey Research

A sample of eligible caregivers (parents or guardians) of children ages 0 to 3 who are HealthPartners members and/or patients and live in Minnesota were invited to participate.

First conducted in 2019, the LEARN survey was repeated in 2021 with oversampling by race, ethnicity, or insurance type in order to better capture the diversity of perspectives in our region - intentionally focusing on families from specific cultural communities listed below. Then in 2023 through 2024, conversations were facilitated in partnership with community-based organizations to interpret survey results and identify community-driven action steps.

LEARN Survey aims include understanding of:
Beliefs about the importance of certain behaviors
Behaviors parents and caregivers do with their kids (0-3 years old)
Opportunities for future program planning
Awareness of Little Moments Count
